Online Reporting

Thank you for using our online crime and incident reporting system! Please select what type of crime or incident you are reporting:

Petty Theft ($400 and under)	A Petty theft is the taking of personal property with a value $400 or less.
Grand Theft (over $400)	A Grand theft is the taking of personal property with a value over $400.
Vandalism	A Vandalism is damaging, destroying or defacing personal property of another with a value less than $400.
Bicycle Theft	The theft of any bicycle.
Car Burglary (cold)	A Car Burglary is a theft from a locked vehicle. It is considered "cold" when it is usually more than 24 hours old and the report is for insurance purposes.
Lost Property	A Lost Property case is when property has been misplaced and the elements of a crime are not present, but a report is desired either for insurance purposes or so the owner can be identified if the property is found.
Harassing Phone Calls	Report any harassing phone calls that have been received.
Hit and Run	A Hit and Run is the result of damage and/or injury from a vehicle that did not stop after the incident.

AFTER COMPLETING YOUR ON-LINE REPORT, YOU WILL RECEIVE A REPORT NUMBER VIA E-MAIL WITHIN 10 WORKING DAYS. DO NOT CALL THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO REQUEST YOUR REPORT NUMBER AS THIS WILL JUST CONFUSE THE PROCESS.****** IF YOU CANNOT WAIT THE 10 DAYS TO GET THE REPORT NUMBER DO NOT MAKE YOUR REPORT VIA THIS SYSTEM.******

If you need help in determining what type of crime you are trying to report, you may call the Police Department at (650) 853-3160 and they will advise you. If you need to come to the Police Department or prefer to make a report with a police officer, then you may come to the police department at 141 Demeter Street. The Police Desk is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5 P.M. If you are requesting information on an existing report or need copies, you will need to call the Records Section at (650) 853-3160.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Knowingly submitting a false Crime Report is a misdemeanor under the State Penal Code 148.5 PC (punishable by 6 months jail, $1,000 fine, or both!).
