MEET EAST PALO ALTO'S CURRENT CITY COUNCILMEMBERS:

At the December 1, 2015 City Council Regular meeting, Vice Mayor Donna Rutherford was appointed as Mayor and Councilmember Larry Moody was appointed as Vice Mayor!  Congratulations.

COUNCIL RESPONSIBILITIES & PRIORITIES
The Mayor and City Council are responsible for the city's services including infrastructure and safety; for developing and evaluating the Cities' priorities, policies and programs; to ensure the accountability and transparency of the City's operations; to maintain the City's budget; and to represent the needs of the community.   

On April 7, 2015, the City Council adopted their 
Strategic Priorities and their Legislative Priorities for Fiscal Year  
2015-16.

East Palo Alto City Council Chamber is ADA compliant. Requests for disability related modifications or accommodations, aids or services may be made by a person with a disability to the City Clerk's office no less than 72 hours prior to the meeting as required by Section 202 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the federal rules and regulations adopted in implementation thereof.

      
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
The General Municipal Election is held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, in even numbered years.  Council terms are for four years. The terms of Mayor and Vice Mayor are for one year and expire at the first meeting in December.
