Community Programs
Welcome to the Community Programs Division 


The Community Programs Division creates community by connecting people, parks, and programs. It is our hope that together we will strengthen our community's image, human and economic development,  safety and security, health and wellness, cultural unity, and the City's recreational experiences.

Friday, August 16th, 2019 at YMCA & Bell Street Park  (550 Bell Street, East Palo Alto, CA 94303)

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday August 23rd, 24th, and 25th 2019 at Eastside Preparatory School Theater 1041 Myrtle Street, East Palo Alto, CA 94303. 
Times: Friday: 7:30pm, Saturday: 2:00p.m. & 7:30p.m., Sunday: 2:30pm

The Community Programs Division activities rely on interdepartmental, inter-jurisdictional, and community partnerships to deliver services that enhance the quality of life for East Palo Alto residents with a focused effort on increasing community engagement.


The Community Programs' Division is comprised of:  

  • 1 Community Programs Manager
  • 1  Administrative Assistant
  • 3  Recreation Leaders
  • 1  Nutrition Site Supervisor
  • 1 Kitchen Aide
  • 2 Van Drivers
  • 1 On-call Van Driver

Our team is committed to serving our residents and guests through excellent customer service and efficiency. We look forward to assisting you with your park, facility and community event needs.

OUR MISSION



To provide and promote broad-based recreation opportunities through people, parks, and programs. This is done through facility development and enhancement, promotion of life-long learning, facilitation of community-wide information dissemination, promotion of creative artistic expression, physical activity and healthy habits, facilitation of socio-cultural expression, and the encouragement of the preservation and enjoyment of the outdoors.
